The 15th Annual Underwater Pumpkin Carving Competition will be held Saturday, October 27th at USO beach in Piti. Thanks to our major sponsor, Continental Airlines, BIG prizes will be awarded for:MOST ORIGINAL - a trip to Australia; FUNNIEST - a trip to Chuuk; SCARIEST - a trip to Palau. Raffle prizes will include… Dive Gear, Dinner Shows, Weekend Getaways and so much more! Since this is a family event, kids 10 and under are welcome to join in the fun with a pumpkin hunt at the beach and a scariest mask contest. Entry fee for adults is $10- including a pumpkin, t-shirt and raffle ticket; children ages 2-10 pay $5-and receive a t-shirt. Deadline to register, pick up pumpkins and t-shirts is October 26th. The morning of the event, entrants must check in at the United Seaman’s Service Club in Piti for a safety brief by 8:30, divers will enter the water by 9:00. Judging for masks and pumpkins will be held at Guam Premier Outlets at noon for kids and 1:00 for adults. Pumpkins must be on display by NOON. All pumpkin carving entrants must be a certified open-water diver. Sign up at either dive shop location: Andersen Air Force Base Dive Shop in the Outdoor Recreation building, or the Downtown Anigua Dive shop, on Marine Corps Drive opposite Ace Hardware.
